I am a fingerstyle guitar player living in Hamden, in southern Connecticut. I play instrumental, acoustic music. I play mainly blues and ragtime and my influences range from the blues greats of the 1920s and 1930s to Merle Travis, Chet Atkins, and Jerry Reed (you can listen to some of my pieces here).

I've performed at regional festivals, on live radio, and have a piece recorded on a CD compilation of folks who play Flammang Guitars (I'm on lucky cut number 13!). You can catch my solo, instrumental act on occasion at coffee houses, bookstores, music halls, and taverns in the area (see calendar dates).

I am also a professor of law at Quinnipiac University School of Law and, in addition to my law-related publications, I have written a number of articles on guitars, lutherie, and music.

Oh, and a drum roll, please. I'm listed in Who's Who as a "ragtime guitarist!"

I'm also Field Editor editor and frequent contributor to my favorite magazine,Fretboard Journal.  In addition to contributing the quarterly print edition, I have ablog on which I post on time-sensitive topics like concert reviews.

I am serving as executive director for the upcoming film staring Napoleon Dynamite'sJon Heder:  Buddy Holly is Alive and Well on Ganymede.  Here's a clip:

Finally, I do, indeed, have a day job as law professor at Quinnipiac University School of law.
